# `LLMProxy.Provider.TokenCodec.Plaintext`

Compatibility codec that keeps provider credentials as plaintext.

Configure an encryption codec before you store production credentials. The
codec rejects LLMProxy's encrypted envelope so missing keyring configuration
fails closed instead of forwarding ciphertext as an upstream credential.
